a working environment and demonstrate the importance of teamwork skills and
how they can be used in everyday life. |
Jasmine is reliable as she
is punctual for every shift allocated and often works additional hours
when asked. |
Approximately
150 people work in the supermarket and as such, Jasmine can work with different people on every
shift. She is able to communicate well, follows guidance and instruction
from her team leader, and she is popular and well-liked by her colleagues and
customers alike. |
Jasmine’s
team leader regularly gives her positive feedback as she is efficient in her
work and a strong member of the team. For example, she is good at organising her
workload and supports others when required. Jasmine is particularly good
at problem solving, dealing with customer queries, handling
stock issues, helping her colleagues as and when required, and she is
efficient in decision making. |
Jasmine
has been asked to apply for a team leader position by her shift manager and
she plans to do so. |
This weblog explores teamworking - transferable - skills and the benefits and potential challenges of teamworking, including the importance of effective communication. Participants of the blog, will gain experience of working positively as a team member when planning and contributing to team tasks; additionally, they will learn how to reflect on their own / team’s effectiveness in completing the task and consider individual and group contribution to the team’s performance.
